new music: BEFORE THEY HAND OVER THE KEYS TO 'WHALE CITY', WARMDUSCHER SHARE NEW SINGLE 'STANDING ON THE CORNER'

Before they bless the world with new album Whale City, Warmduscher continue their noble and righteous march into our hearts and minds. New single Standing on the Corner comes fast and hard; a real loaded diaper of a record; a bassline that shakes the very core of your system and some grotesquely lusty Clams Baker lyrical diarhorrea to boot. You've heard Big Wilma, you've heard Sweet Smell of Florida, this is where the shit gets real and the altitude gets high.

We've already heard Whale City, the band's second full length, and I'm willing to bet you won't hear a bigger bastard of an album all year. A yellow-eyed opus, frothing at the gnashers, it's ugly, sweaty, and also beautiful; Standing on the Corner is an essential slice of Whale City pie that should whet your appetite.

Whale City comes out worldwide June 6th - pre-order here if you like your music good and 12 inches in circumference

You can read our lengthy interview with Warmduscher in Issue 1 of SEE YOU MATE (YEAH, SEE YOU MATE). Godspeed!

premiere: THE COOL GREENHOUSE'S WHOLLY UNHOLY DIY POST-PUNK STOMPER, 'CARDBOARD MAN'

"I'm a West Ham supporter... or is it Aston Villa? You can see right through me, I'm like a glass of water."
Upon discovering The Cool Greenhouse, I felt like I had discovered the very pinnacle of DIY post-punk; looked into its soul and seen the finished article. Songs that touch cloth with the 10 minute mark, often feature the same frustrated guitar riff over and over from beginning to end, whilst simply being a breeding ground for some of the strangest and most astute lyrical hot takes.

'Cardboard Man' is a classic of this genre. 6 minutes of monotone Delta 5 riffing, in a shotgun marriage with retro bleeps and bloops, whilst frontman Tom Greenhouse assembles an array of caustic cut up one liners that take cheap shots at all the morally bankrupt, devious, 'Cardboard' men (questioning too, whether he is also cardboard – I think we're all a bit cardboard, baby).

Taken from the Crap Cardboard Pet EP, out Feb 1st via Hidden Bay Records, 'Cardboa…
